Liverpool University Press is a well-established publisher of Irish history titles. LUP authors include the eminent scholars Marianne Elliott, Donald Akenson, Donald MacRaild and John Belchem, alongside leading figures from outside the Academy such as the former Head of the Northern Ireland Civil Service and Victims Commissioner Sir Kenneth Bloomfield. A new series features Irish women writers, and LUP also publishes Irish cultural and social studies, memoirs, and books about Irish culture, society and history throughout the world.
